There are few things in this world that can’t be undone. Deleting or losing data isn’t on this list. If you accidentally deleted some files, if someone deleted your files on purpose, if some sort of accident lead to you losing your files, you can use a data recovery tool to bring them back. You could use Recovery Mechanic for example. This is a data recovery tool that can bring back files from FAT or NTFS formatted disks and partitions. It will bring back data that used to be stored on internal disks or on removable/portable drives.

Recovery Mechanic will work just fine with any version of Microsoft’s Windows operating system. To get it up and running on a Windows PC, you must spend little time on completing a simple installation process: download an installer, run it, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard.

Speaking about spending little time, I will transition to presenting Recovery Mechanic’s interface and I will say that this data recovery tool has an Explorer-like interface. Because Recovery Mechanic looks so much like Windows Explorer, you will immediately feel at home with the interface. You will spend little time figuring it out.

Here’s what you can do from Recovery Mechanic’s Explorer-like, user friendly interface: access a drive and view recoverable files; access a folder and view recoverable files; preview files before recovering them; create and mount a disk image; access a disk recovery wizard; recover multiple types of file formats (pictures, videos, music, documents, and more).

Please note that Recovery Mechanic is not free, it is only free to try. The trial version will detect recoverable files, will let you preview recoverable files, but it will not allow you to recover them. To be able to recover files, you must register your copy.

From an Explorer-like interface you can easily access a drive, preview recoverable files, and easily recover the files you lost.

Pros

Installing Recovery Mechanic on a Windows PC is a simple task. Recovery Mechanic’s interface looks a lot like Windows Explorer. Recovery Mechanic can recover numerous types of files from internal or external drives, FAT or NTFS formatted disks and partitions. Recovery Mechanic allows you to preview recoverable files.

Cons

The trial version lets you view recoverable files, but does not allow you to recover them. Recovery Mechanic doesn’t show up in the Uninstall Program section of the Control Panel.
